What you're walking into
The Purge Day is a 75-minute thriller escape room for 2 to 8 players at Xcape in Bugis Village, Singapore. It scores 5 out of 5 for scares and 3 out of 5 for difficulty, from $39.90 per person off-peak. A live actor is part of the story.
Every 31 December the country holds its Purge Day, and for some people it's a day of rebirth. On this night every crime is legal, even murder. You've lived here your whole life, so the yearly night of blood and chaos is nothing new.
This year you're doing something different and sheltering in The Safe Place, a safehouse that went viral online. Then someone knocks frantically on the door, begging for help. Will you open it?
